Meet the flockers: Puck Verheul

If you could write a book about your life, what would the title be and why?
Little miss Sunshine – it is how my mom used to call me when I was younger. The irony in it is that I’m quite tall and even my name means little gnome. I love to smile and put a smile on someone’s face. My enthusiasm drives me to get the most out of myself. I also get energy from creating a smile on someone else’s face.
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?
I am mega scared of snakes and pigeons. Luckily, I rarely see snakes. Pigeons on the other hand is a nightmare and a problem. I can keep my cool with pigeons when they are at a distance, but when they come into my aura I tend to freak out. No one understands as these stupid birds are gone, because I shooed them away! It leads to funny, but mainly embarrassing, situations as no one understands why I am yelling or running. Bloody pigeons
What’s your guilty pleasure?
Schadenfreude: watching another person’s misfortune. In a good way of course, not when something actually terrible happens. The small misfortunes just really make me laugh, uncontrollably. Dropping stuff, walking into doors, getting chased by a wasp, spilling drinks and you name it. I get great pleasure out of a fail compilation for instance. Seeing it happen in real life is just the best thing there is. Once I walked into a glass door with a hot tea. After I got myself dispatched from the window, I just couldn’t stop laughing but was upset at the same time. I wished I could have seen it happening instead of experiencing.
What tunes are on your ‘go to’ playlist to help you relax, unwind and switch-off?
Great question, this is quite funny. I love music and can’t go a day without it. I love going on to Spotify and just search for new artists or unknown artist. The weirder the songs the more I enjoy them. Recently I discovered Donny Benet and he just makes me smile, I put his album on and it definitely helps me to relax and unwind. The songs are questionable sometimes but there to make people smile. Once it is a happy and relaxing song, I can relax and unwind.
