Meet the Flockers: Luba Potgieter
8 July 2021
Our Meet The Flockers series gives us a chance to show the humans behind Stephenson Law. We stop, take a moment, and spend some time on the sillier side of life.
From guilty pleasures, to favourite foods, this series sheds a light on what makes our flock tick.
Do you have any irrational fears? – I think all my fears are pretty irrational. Take my fear of driving on roundabouts, for example. It always feels like I’m travelling into some alternative universe where everything is spinning, and things become relatively normal again only when I leave the roundabout. Hmm…it sounds like other people should have a rational fear of me on roundabouts…
What fictional character do you relate to most? – Yoda. My husband called me that when we first met to make fun of me as a non-native English speaker. “Here me speak you have!” Also, I left my home country on international Star Wars day – May the 4th, to start my independent adventure, so that day is quite special for me.
What’s an interesting fact about you? – Once I managed to cross the border between two countries without my passport using nothing but my influencing skills.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be? – It’s difficult to settle on just one specific place. I wouldn’t mind living in Italy for a while – the food, the wine, the weather!
If you could only eat one thing forever, what would it be? – Ice-cream! My freezer is quite an embarrassing sight as its always packed with ice-cream and I truly panic when it starts running low…Here is another one of my irrational fears – fear of running out of ice-cream!
