Meet the flockers: Jess Saumarez
10 July 2020
Our Meet The Flockers series allows us to discover a little bit more about what makes our team tick.
From guilty pleasures, to hopeful dreams, this series is our window into the mind of the flock!
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
It has to be Hedira! I had the problem that I kept killing houseplants that needed specific care but I couldn’t find a tool out there that would help me look after them. Fast forward a year and Hedira is an app with thousands of users and plants registered. It’s so great to go out and solve a problem you have.
How different was your life one year ago?
Well there wasn’t a global pandemic for one thing! And a year ago I didn’t have Monty, my cat, who is a new addition to the household.
A year ago there was just two people in the marketing team, having to juggle a lot of things, and that’s been a big change in a year.
What’s something not a lot of people know about you?
So the thing that most people probably wouldn’t know about me is that I’m French! I grew up there from the age of eight and did all my studies in France. I’m just waiting for Stephenson Law to go global and then I can bring out the language skills!
What country would you like to visit most?
Next on my list is going to be Burma. I have a plan of going around the world to visit the best places where I can do hot air balloon rides! I’m like a kid when it comes to hot air balloons, they make me feel like I’m in a fairytale (even though I hate heights…)
