Meet the flockers: Ben King
27 March 2020
In the latest instalment of ‘Meet the flockers’ we chat with solicitor Ben King. During our catchup we discuss Vietnam, three day weekends and prog metal!
What’s the most daring thing you’ve ever done?
My partner Michelle and I hired a moped to drive to a temple in Hoi An, Vietnam – I think we had 12 near-death experiences in 2 hours. There appeared to be no rules of the road other than ‘try not to kill too many people at once’.
If you were ruler of your own country what would be the first law you would introduce?
A four day week. Weekends are never long enough.
What do you do to keep fit?
I run when I can, which is not as often as I’d like – once my youngest daughter starts sleeping through I’m hoping to get back to my fighting weight!
If you could join any past or current music group which would you want to join?
Mastodon – I don’t think they need me to complete their line-up, to be honest, but I can hammer a mean tambourine and I think it would add that little sparkle to their prog metal stylings.
