James Pheasant joins SLHQ as Director and Head of Dispute Resolution

Today marks a very important milestone for SL as we say a very excited hello and welcome to James Pheasant, who joins as a Director and Head of Dispute Resolution.

You might have seen James’s face pop up in our recent webinars as our disputes expert. He’s a very experienced litigation lawyer, dealing with complex commercial and corporate disputes. He also has particular expertise in sports regulatory work and represents athletes and horse trainers in anti-doping cases. He is ranked in Chambers & Partners (Band 2) for his horse Racing & equestrian work (UK-wide).

James’s arrival means that we’re able to provide support to our clients in the following new areas:

> Commercial disputes, including contract disputes with suppliers, customers, shareholders and business partners
> Insolvency and restructuring
> Debt recovery
> Professional negligence
> Anti-doping cases (both equine and human)
> Technology, IP and data disputes
> Merchandising and sponsorship disputes

In addition, we are very excited to be able to offer an enhanced package to our retainer clients by providing them with pre-litigious dispute resolution support.

In the last 12 months we’ve achieved significant growth – trebling our headcount and revenue – and the next 12 months is set to be equally exciting for us. We’re delighted that James has decided to join us on our journey.
