An Introduction To Blockchain and Crypto Assets

9 February 2021

Blockchain is set to revolutionise the way in which we do everything.

However, while blockchain is seen as one of the most important modern technologies, very little is known about it. An expert in the field, our Senior Solicitor and Head of Blockchain Will Foulkes partnered with the Legal Hackers MCR to offer a helpful introduction to blockchain and crypto assets. In this talk, Will began the session with an informative presentation on the origins of blockchain.

From here, Will demystified blockchain, and explained it’s potential to fundamentally change the way in which our world is governed. Our legal engineer Jay Smith took part in the Q&A session, and offered some advice on how to keep up with modern trends.

Following Will’s presentation, the following questions were answered:

– What career advice would you give to someone looking to get into this area? How can I keep up? 49.44

– There is some resistance to crypto assets and bitcoin. Where do you see this going? 57.15

– How are crypto puzzles made? 1.07.00

– What work do you do at Stephenson Law? What are the areas of overlap between lawyers and coding? 1.11.13
